Our story
Two dentists who met in dental school chose his hometown to open a practice and raise a family. Their daughter grew up here, trained where they trained, and now leads the practice from the same corner of Main and Prairie.

Two founders, their daughter, and a team whose longest careers here are measured in decades.
A hygienist who stayed
Lynn Cook joins the team a year after finishing hygiene school at Harper College. She has cared for patients through every stage of life ever since.
Two more long careers
Amy Olson joins as an assistant before qualifying as a hygienist, and Joanna joins as an assistant. Both are part of the team today.
The next generation
Their daughter, Dr. Julie Davis, who grew up in Park Ridge, earns her DDS at UIC and joins the family practice.
A practice handed on
Dr. Engert retires from patient care. Dr. Julie now leads the practice, with the same promise of personal, compassionate care.

Dr. Julie K. Davis, DDS
Dr. Julie grew up in Park Ridge and went through the same schools her father did. She studied molecular and cellular biology at the University of Illinois, then earned her DDS at UIC with special honors training in implant dentistry, endodontics and pediatrics.

Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. Davis & Engert Dentistry is always accepting new patients, and welcomes children and adults of all ages. Call (847) 698-2161 or send the appointment request below, and the team will guide you from diagnosis and treatment planning to financials and procedures.
What are your hours?
Monday and Wednesday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, Friday 7:30 am to 2:00 pm, and Saturday 7:30 am to 12:30 pm one or two mornings a month. Closed Sunday. The flexible hours give patients ample time to book.
I have a dental emergency. Can I be seen?
Call the office. Emergency appointments are scheduled during all operating hours, Monday through Saturday.
Do you take my insurance?
The practice accepts most dental insurances and works directly with providers to help maximize your benefits. Patients without insurance are welcome, with affordable dental plans available. You can pay online, in person or by mail, and CareCredit is accepted.
Do you see children?
Yes. Pediatric dentistry, school exams, sealants, fluoride and silver diamine fluoride are all part of family care here, along with airway-focused care for growing children.
Which whitening option is right for me?
Both use Philips Zoom. In-office whitening is a single 120-minute visit with instantly noticeable results, good before an event or cosmetic work. At-home kits suit anyone who would rather whiten around their day; the usual regimen is 14 days. Existing fillings, crowns, veneers and bridges will not whiten.

The office is at 20 Main Street, on the corner of Main Street and Prairie Avenue, in Uptown Park Ridge. Patient parking is in the lot directly behind the building, off Prairie Avenue.
